In this post, I am going to share something very interesting with you guys. It’s about adwords edit-pause process. Please check the following video. I was getting this weird problem while I was trying to pause some topics from display campaign’s ad group. This is so awkward and I couldn’t find a solution to overcome this situation. Therefore, I asked about this to Google’s rep – Yanni, who works in Google’s Singapore office.
But Yanni was not sure about my situation. She asked me whether I could give her a screenshot (about the problem I was facing) so that she could quickly assist me. As a single screenshot might not exactly demonstrate the actual problem so for better understanding I made this video tutorial.
Please note, I don’t have bad internet connectivity issue and I tried to get this done after clearing my browser cookies/histories. Unfortunately that didn’t solve adwords edit-pause issue.
So when I finished video editing with my camtasia software, I uploaded it to Youtube and sent the link to Google.
After watching this video, Yanni replied me this:
Hi Ekhlas,Your video is beautifully done! I shared that with my colleagues and all of them went WOW. You ROCK 🙂
With regards to the question posted earlier in the chat, the reason why you’re encountering the error issue is because the topics have been removed previously but it is just showing up right now for reporting purpose, for the time they have been targeted. Hence, you are unable to remove those topics when they have already been removed. You can only pause entities you manage, as in keywords, managed placements, managed topics etc.Hope this helps! If you have any more questions in related to this issue, feel free to reply here. I’m just an email away! However, if it is regarding a new issue, please contact us via this form: http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/request.py?display=categories. It’ll be a pleasure to help you again. 🙂Sincerely,
Yanni
Here is the reply I made to Yanni:
Thanks for your reply Yanni but it’s confusing as both “All eligible topics” and “All topics” are showing these non managed topics.
In my personal opinion, for reporting purposes, these not managed topics should show under “All topics“, not for “All eligible topics“. “All Eligible Topics” should show only managed topics not some not managed topicsHope Google implementation team will adopt this change in the future.
Thank you for taking your time to give us feedback. To ensure that your feedback is being recorded accordingly, I would need to trouble you to log in your thoughts on our product here at https://support.google.com/adwords/contact/cfeedback.There will be a team dedicated to these feedbacks and they will take your feedback into serious consideration, making necessary adjustments to the product then.Hope this helps and have a good day! 🙂Sincerely,
Yanni
Jewel, Adwords how long have you been working this? Co$t total monthly? What other online employ from only iPhone could you suggest?
Hello Dawn,
Thanks for your first comment on this blog! Unfortunately, I didn’t quite get your questions. I have been managing adwords accounts for my clients since 2012 and total monthly cost information is confidential but that’s enough to keep our Google partnership badge!
