In this tutorial I am going to show you how to provide access someone to Google Webmaster tool. For your information, Google Webmaster tool is now known as Google search console. On May 20, 2015, Google re-branded Google Webmaster Tool account as Google Search Console.
Sometimes it is required for website owners to provide access to someone who is expert in managing Google Webmaster tool. Google Webmaster tool might seems critical for the website owners and it is always good to have an SEO specialist in the team to manage the account. Moreover, a website owner can directly work with the SEO expert / SEO consultant and learn more about Google Webmaster tool and its functions. In my opinion, each website owner should be aware of the Google Webmaster tool and become familiar with the fundamentals.
Now I assume you have already verified your ownership for your website in Google Webmaster tool. Let’s move forward to the topic: how to provide access someone to Google Webmaster tool
To provide access someone to Google Webmaster tool please follow these steps:
- Login to Google Webmaster tool
- Click on the domain name that you want to manage.
- Click on the “Gear” icon
- Click on “Users and Property Owners“
- Click on “Add A New User” button
- Type user email and give the user a Restricted or Full role
- Click on “Add” button
The invited user will get a notification about your invitation in his/her email. After that s/he could go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ and start managing your account!
